We are so excited to begin the 19-20 School year at DIS! We are hosting Open House from 2pm to 6pm August 29th. School begins September 3rd! Attached is our school supply list. We can't wait to see you!

Our last day of school is Friday, June 14th with an early dismissal at 12:45. We do hope you enjoy your summer!

Our teacher of the year is none other than Ms. South! Ms. South is our hardworking, creative, techie, and inspiring 4th grade teacher. We couldn't be prouder to have her represent our school. Thank you for all of the nominations!

Deal Island 5th grade students have been working hard the past few months to raise money for the Children’s Craniofacial Association (CCA). Their goal is to raise money to send a child and their family to a retreat that allows children to interact with others who also have facial differences. Our students have raised $1,100 by hosting $1 casual days, a bake sale, Christmas candy grams as well as a Wonder raffle. Students have independently fund raised the money under Mrs. Messick’s guidance. We are extremely proud of these students who have made a difference for a child and their family.
