Take a look at third grade's Living Wax Museum! Students worked to select a subject to research for Black History Month. They then created a display of their research and dressed in character to represent their subject. Visitors were able to learn more as they visited each student and pressed their 'button' to have the wax statue come to life to recite a short speech about their featured subject.

On Thursday, March 20th, the halls of Greenwood Elementary were transformed into a vibrant showcase of history as 5th-grade students proudly presented their Native American exhibition. The event, a culmination of weeks of research and creativity, featured intricate dioramas that brought to life various aspects of Native American cultures, traditions, and historical events.
As part of the exhibition, students also prepared oral presentations to accompany their dioramas, explaining the historical and cultural context of their work. Parents, teachers, and fellow classmates toured the displays, asking questions and engaging in discussions about the importance of honoring and understanding Native American heritage.

Mrs. Brumley has selected the GES's artists of the month for March. In second grade the artist completed a beautiful "pour painting" with warm and cool colors in acrylics. The third grade artist created a really cool piece of art using foil, water, markers and a sharpie. In 4th grade the artist finished a self portrait using pencil and a mirror. The 5th grade artist used oil pastels to do their version of Van Gogh's "Starry Night". Congratulations to all 4 artists!
