To conclude their civics unit, Mrs. Nelson's class held an election to determine their class president!









Earlier in the week at Greenwood Elementary, Ms. Matthews class had a Chinese New Year celebration to wrap up the CKLA unit on Early Asian Civilizations. Students made fried rice, read books about the Chinese New Year, learned how to use chopsticks, & received a fortune cookie.

GES Artists of the month are…
2nd grade brothers Josiah and Jayce who each colored half of an adorable pumpkin ( makes a whole when put together) Jasiah likes video games, Jayce loves music and wants to start a band, and both love to draw.
3rd grade Ja’ lae who just finished a beautiful leaf rubbing print pattern in purple and black with crayons and Fall leaves. Ja’lae is a fantastic dancer and wants to be an artist when she grows up.
4th grade Dalton used Fall leaf rubbings to make a cool bat. He loves sports and wants to be a famous painter when he grows up!
5th grade Emma just made a beautiful painting of butterflies with Fall Leaves and acrylic paint. Emma loves sketching and creating new things, and wants to either be a nurse or join the coast guard when she grows up. Way to go Emma! Congratulations to all our Greenwood Artists!
