Good evening, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week. Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Theresa Perdue. Mrs. Perdue is a 2nd Grade teacher. She goes above and beyond for her students and co-workers. She encourages them to do their best and never give up. You rock, Mrs. Perdue!!!
Congratulations to our Students of the Week, Zeke Jones and Noah Hinman, both in 2nd Grade. Zeke is a hard worker and has a positive influence on his peers. Noah does a wonderful job following directions and strives to do his best each day. We are very proud of you both!
We will hold Parent & Teacher conferences on Tuesday, October 8th from 4:05-6:05 pm. Please return the flyer that was sent home if you are interested in meeting with your child’s teacher.
Thursday, October 10th is the County-Wide SECAC or Special Education Citizens Advisory Committee meeting from 6-7:00 pm. You are welcome to see what resources they have available to you.
Friday, October, 11th is a Woodson Spirit Day, where students can a Woodson or house shirt with uniform bottoms.
Our Fall picture day is on Wednesday, October 16th with Lifetouch. Students can dress in appropriate casual attire for the Fall pictures.
We will have our annual Curriculum Trunk or Treat on Thursday October 17th from 5-7:00 pm. We are in need of candy donations. Any student who brings a bag of candy will be given a designated casual day to dress down.
Please join Dr. Tasker-Mitchell, our Superintendent at WES, on November 7th from 6:00-7:30 pm, as she will be here conducting her Listening and Learning to Lead Tour. She is asking for families to attend and engage, so she can hear from the community.
Please make sure that you fill out the student electronic annual forms on the Power School parent portal. These forms need to get updated every year for returning students. Please contact Jen Ward in the front office if you need help with your password.
