Good evening, Woodson Wave Families, this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week. Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Mr. Zachary Cravitz. Mr. Cravitz consistently displays creativity, patience, and flexibility when working with students. He frequently dedicates his planning time to ensure that students are prepared for the day. We are fortunate to have Mr. Cravitz as a WOODSON WAVE!
We are fortunate to have these amazing Students of the Week; Qua McCready and Paxton Ward. Qua’ is always eager to lend a hand, volunteering to help out whenever the opportunity arises. His willingness to assist makes him a reliable and supportive presence for his classmates. Way to go, Qua!
Paxton exemplifies the Woodson Way by maintaining a strong work ethic and a positive attitude in the classroom. His dedication to tasks and his leadership, inspire those around him to stay motivated. He is known for his kindness and responsibility. Paxton serves as a role model, fostering an encouraging environment for his peers. Awesome job, Paxton!
Thank you to all who participated in our themed dress week for a fundraiser for The United Way this past week.
Daylights Savings Time ends today and we fall back, so don’t forget to have set your clocks back and hour.
Tomorrow, Monday, November 4th and Thursday, November 7th are both casual days for two different families in need. For each day, (Monday and Thursday), staff must pay $2.00 and students must pay $1.00 to be able to dress in casual clothes. Please follow the county dress code for non-uniform attire. Students may wear jeans, but they cannot have rips, holes, shreds, or holes with patches behind them, even if they were purchased that way.
Tuesday, November 5th, all SCPS schools are closed for students and staff for the Primary Election. Don’t forget to get out to the polls and vote.
Thursday, November 7th marks the end of Quarter 1. Quarter 1 report cards will be distributed to students next Friday, November 15th.
Friday, November 8th will be an early dismissal day for students. Students will be dismissed at 12:30 pm.
