Good afternoon this is Liz Berry with some updates for the coming week. Congratulations to our Staff Member of the Week, Mrs. Nicole Biser, who is a 2nd Grade Teacher. Mrs. Biser is a fantastic teacher who shows patience and kindness every day. She is a positive light on our staff, and works very hard to meet the needs of her classroom. Magnificent work Mrs. Biser!
This week we celebrate our Students of the Week; Harper Mills in 2nd grade and Zachariah Welch in 4th grade. Harper is a hard worker in the classroom who takes her time to do her best on every assignment. She also gives the best hugs and is a sweet student. Zack is such a hard worker and is always nice and respectful to his classmates. We are very proud of you Harper and Zack!!
This week we also celebrate our Food and Nutrition Staff as it is Food and Nutrition Staff Appreciation Week. A special thank you goes to Mrs. Cindy Gerald, Ms. Cindy Kinder, Ms. Virginia Townsend, Ms. Theresa Marshall and Mrs. Laurie Sterling. We appreciate all that you do!
5th grade starts state MCAP testing Monday and will test each day that week. Please get a good night's rest and come to school on time. We are excited to see how well they can do and know they will put forth their best effort each day.
On Monday, April 28th we will have a paid casual day fundraiser to benefit the Lower Shore Autism Community, in recognition of Autism Awareness Month. Any student participating will have to pay $1.00 and staff will need to pay $2.00. If students do not have $1.00, they should plan to dress in school uniform. Any child who chooses to participate will need to adhere to the SCPS county dress code guidelines.
This Wednesday, April 30th, will be a free casual day for all as it is the last day of the month.
Friday, May 1st is a Woodson Spirit Day. Students may wear their Woodson spirit shirt with uniform bottoms only.
Thank you for taking the time to read this message and have a good evening.
