We are so thankful and grateful for your support for our school, we can't wait to give back to ya'll with a fun family night. Huge shout out to the Deal Island Chance-Lions Club who purchased every student a Candy Gram to make sure NO ONE was left out. Deal Island School loves its students, families and community! Happy Valentine's Day!

Good Afternoon,
We appreciate everyone's efforts in virtual learning and the return of the devices and accessories. If your student has not returned those items, please have them bring them back in tomorrow, or as soon as possible. We do not want families to incur any charges for missing items. We appreciate your support in this matter! Thank you!

February 12, 2025
To all Deal Island Parents and Friends,
As we have seen an uptake in influenza, stomach virus Noroviru), RSV, COVID and Strep, I would like to remind everyone of the following:
Fever: Students should be home for 24 hours, fever free without medication before returning to school. Per the health department guidelines the child should be home for 48 hours and be symptom free before returning to our schools if you suspect norovirus.
If a child is vomiting or has diarrhea, please have them stay home for 24 hours. If a student is sent home from school by the nurse they will be excused that day and the next and it will not count against them in their attendance as we are trying to limit exposure to illnesses within the school. We have seen multiple issues popping up with Pertussis, Norovirus, Influenza, and a stomach virus. We do understand this can be an inconvenience, but we have to safeguard students as much as possible.
Following these guidelines help keep all students and their families well. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
