Today, we started a Reading For Education program to help our school raise money. Scan the QR code on the Book Buddy Lanyard that was sent home with your student to find out how the program works. Parents, please read over the information describing how you can participate. Your student will earn a participation prize when they return the filled-out Student Lanyard to school, and they can earn more great prizes when your family and friends help our school raise money. Monday is our PTO meeting at 5:30! Please attend. 2 fundraisers are kicking off, more info coming. 1/2 day on Friday, dismiss at 12:30 and no school next Monday (1/19).

Tomorrow is Gym Class! Sneakers are not required but socks are, we are doing gymnastics! Thank you.

Upcoming Library Programs in January

Hello DIS Families,
Out of an abundance of caution, we are sending home devices for students in case we need to utilize virtual learning on January 5th. 2nd-5th will be bringing home their laptop, laptop charger and bag. Prek-1st will have an iPad and charger. Teachers may also include worksheets/packets with the devices. We would suggest placing these items in a safe place so they do not get damaged or lost. The cost of these items are attached to this post. If you were absent and did not receive your device, we will make up the day upon our return to school. Prek3, Prek4 and Kinder are going to the Marva theatre tomorrow at 9:15 and returning around 12:30. Students must ride the bus there and parents can meet us at the Marva and sign students out if they choose. Please let teachers know this evening, so they can get an accurate lunch count for when students return. Thank you!!

Due to the forecasted weather this weekend, we are sending home devices and chargers. 2nd-5th will have their laptop bag, laptop and charger. Prek-1st will have an iPad, charger and worksheets. If our school closes due to inclement weather Monday, we will go virtual (Google Meet) starting at 8am. If not, all devices are expected to come back Monday morning with students. If students are absent today and do not have a device to use to login to Google Classroom, they can make up the work when we return to school.
